Pattie PTCO Meeting Minutes 03/11/08

Meeting called to order at 7:05.

Members Present: Pam Johnson, Kamey Tippett, Lori Hancock, Margie Otterblad, Stephanie Gatewood, Karen Fernan, Jennifer Neubauer, Kelly Andrews, Michaela Johnson, Lara Miller, Anne Zetts, and Donna Wooten-Williams.

1. Approval of February 2008 PTCO meeting minutes
a. Motion made by Kamey Tippett approve minutes, motion seconded by Pam Johnson and carried by majority.
2. Principal’s Report
a. We will have a Health Fair on Saturday, April 26 from 10 to 1.
b. Looking to PTCO for volunteers.
3. Presidents Report
a. Last day for Campbell Soup labels is April 2.
b. Add to Newsletter – looking for new Box Tops for Education coordinator.
c. Add to Newsletter – call for officer nominations for 2008/2009 year.
d. We will do a combined March/April PTCO newsletter.
e. New website is available at www.pattieptco.org. Please send any updates of information to Mary Hustwayte.
f. PTCO will be conducting a survey at the end of the year with parents asking about PTCO issues (membership, fundraisers, volunteering, etc).
4. 2007-2008 Budget
a. We are greatly under budget due to lower income from Market Day, Spirit Wear and not completing the merchant discount card program.
b. Administrative costs are high due to a bounced check from the Innisbrook fundraiser.
c. In the future, merchandise should not be distributed until checks are cleared.
d. On all activities where a check could be written to PTCO, a statement needs to be added to material stating that $35 fee will be charged for all returned checks.
e. We need to review spending for the rest of the year
f. Lori Hancock made a motion to cancel the Spring Fling due to budget restrictions. Jennifer Neubauer seconded the motion and carried by majority.
5. Movie Night
a. Event went well.
b. Stephanie stated we made about $100 which is great as we planned for a break even.
6. Jog-A-Thon
a. Looking for sponsors, donations, anything.
